ITINERARY
DAY 01: JUAN SANTAMARÍA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – SAN JOSÉ
Welcome to Costa Rica! One of our representatives will meet you at Juan Santamaría International Airport and transfer you to your hotel in San José. Overnight in San José.
DAY 02: SAN JOSÉ – ARENAL
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the northern region, home to the majestic Arenal Volcano, where you will enjoy a scenic journey surrounded by rich biodiversity. Arenal Volcano rises to 1,670 meters above sea level and is located within Arenal Volcano National Park. Since its last active phase, it has continuously emitted gases and water vapor, with occasional eruptions and rumbling sounds.
Day at leisure to explore the area, take optional excursions, or enjoy the hotel facilities. Overnight in Arenal.
DAY 03: TFARM EXPERIENCE & SLOTH WATCHING
Breakfast at the hotel. At 7:30 a.m., your guide will pick you up for a short transfer to the Sloth Territory, located approximately 5 minutes from La Fortuna. Here, you will have the opportunity to observe one of Costa Rica’s most beloved animals, the sloth, known for its gentle nature and slow movements. You will walk approximately 1,500 meters along a trail while your guide provides valuable information and highlights the importance of protecting this species.
After the walk, continue to the village of Agua Azul de La Fortuna, where you will visit a family-owned agroecological farm. You will be welcomed with a refreshing natural juice made from local fruits while your guide explains the purpose of this sustainable project and its role in preserving Costa Rican traditions. Experience traditional activities such as manual cow milking, where guests can participate. Children can also feed calves and interact with farm animals such as chickens, rabbits, geese, and quails.
Next, take part in the traditional sugar cane extraction process and taste fresh sugar cane juice, either pure or mixed with other ingredients. The experience concludes with a traditional Costa Rican lunch, along with tastings of products made on the farm, including coffee, cheese, and tortillas. A truly authentic cultural experience. Overnight in Arenal.
DAY 04: ARENAL – MONTEVERDE
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the mountainous region of Monteverde, internationally recognized as one of the most important wildlife sanctuaries in the tropics. The journey is operated via the Car–Boat–Car system: land transfer to Arenal Lake, boat crossing, and land transfer to Monteverde, enjoying scenic landscapes along the way.
Afternoon at leisure to enjoy Monteverde’s unique climate and biodiversity or participate in optional activities such as zip-lining, hanging bridges, serpentarium, frog garden, butterfly garden, horseback riding, or coffee tours.
Overnight in Monteverde.
DAY 05: MONTEVERDE – JACO
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Central Pacific coast to enjoy the beaches. Overnight in Jaco.
DAY 06: JACO
Breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure to enjoy hotel facilities, relax by the pool, or walk along the beach. Overnight in Jaco.
DAY 07: JACO – JUAN SANTAMARÍA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure. At the scheduled time, shared transfer to Juan Santamaría International Airport for your return flight (arrival approximately at 1:00 PM).
