ITINERARY
DAY 01: JUAN SANTAMARÍA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – SAN JOSÉ
Welcome to Costa Rica! One of our representatives will meet you at Juan Santamaría International Airport and transfer you to your hotel in San José. Overnight in San José.
DAY 02: SAN JOSÉ – TORTUGUERO
Early morning departure to Tortuguero via the Braulio Carrillo Highway, known for its breathtaking natural scenery. En route, we stop in Guápiles for breakfast before continuing to the dock where your boat transfer begins. This journey offers the opportunity to observe the rich flora and fauna of the region.
In the afternoon, visit Tortuguero Village, where you will explore local crafts and visit the Green Turtle Conservation Center, including an informative video presentation. Overnight in Tortuguero.
DAY 03: TORTUGUERO CANALS
Start the day with a guided walk through the lush tropical rainforest, where nature lovers can observe a wide variety of birds, mammals, and reptiles.
In the afternoon, continue exploring the Caribbean ecosystem with a boat tour through the Tortuguero canals. Overnight in Tortuguero.
DAY 04: TORTUGUERO – ARENAL
Breakfast at the lodge. Departure by boat through the canals, followed by land transfer to the restaurant for lunch.
Afterward, continue to the northern region of the country, La Fortuna de San Carlos, home to the impressive Arenal Volcano. Overnight in Arenal.
DAY 05: ARENAL VOLCANO, HANGING BRIDGES & LA FORTUNA WATERFALL
Breakfast at the hotel. Begin the day visiting the Arenal Hanging Bridges, walking along trails and suspended bridges through the forest canopy, observing wildlife and vegetation.
Around 11:30 a.m., continue to La Fortuna Waterfall, known for its 60-meter drop. Enjoy the opportunity to swim in its refreshing waters or take photographs. Lunch will be served around 1:30 p.m. at a local restaurant near La Fortuna, offering an à la carte menu with at least five options.
Around 3:00 p.m., visit Arenal Volcano National Park and hike along the lava flow trails, reaching the closest safe viewpoint. Weather permitting, enjoy stunning views of Arenal Lake, secondary forest, and areas shaped by past eruptions. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Arenal.

DAY 06: ARENAL – MONTEVERDE
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the mountainous region of Monteverde, internationally recognized as one of the most outstanding wildlife sanctuaries in the tropics. Travel via the Car–Boat–Car system: land transfer to Arenal Lake, boat crossing, and land transfer to Monteverde, enjoying scenic views along the way.
Overnight in Monteverde.
DAY 07: COFFEE, CHOCOLATE & SUGAR CANE EXPERIENCE
Breakfast at the hotel.
Enjoy a cultural experience at Don Juan Coffee Tour. Learn about the history of coffee worldwide and its importance in Costa Rica’s socio-economic development. Discover the full lifecycle of the coffee plant, from seed to cup, including harvesting (seasonal), processing, drying, roasting, and packaging.
Experience traditional practices such as ox-cart rides and enjoy a tasting of locally produced coffee and typical snacks. Continue with the Chocolate Tour, where you will learn about cacao history and transformation, from fruit to beverage. Participate in traditional preparation methods and enjoy tastings of different chocolate varieties.
The experience concludes with a Sugar Cane Tour, where you will learn about traditional sugar production, operate a traditional mill, and taste fresh sugar cane juice and natural cane products.
DAY 08: MONTEVERDE – MANUEL ANTONIO
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Manuel Antonio. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Manuel Antonio.
DAY 09: MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK TOUR
Breakfast. Transportation provided by the tour operator will pick you up at your hotel, where your journey to Manuel Antonio National Park will begin. This national park is one of the most famous in the country due to its wide variety of flora and fauna species.
The park features three different trails that vary in difficulty, ranging from flat to more challenging and steep sections. During this Manuel Antonio tour, you will be accompanied by a naturalist guide who will provide detailed information about everything you will observe.
The trail you will follow is mostly flat and scenic, extending approximately 3 kilometers through the park. Throughout the excursion, your guide will stop to explain the different species of wildlife and vegetation you encounter. You may take photographs or simply enjoy the surroundings.
One of the highlights of this tour is that the park is home to 3 of the 4 monkey species found in Costa Rica. Midway through the walk, there will be a leisure stop at the third beach located within the national park. You will have approximately 20 minutes to relax on the beach or enjoy the ocean, if you wish.
Along the trail, you may also observe sloths, birds, and reptiles, as well as admire orchids, butterflies, and tropical trees. At the end of the visit, transportation will be provided back to your hotel.
The park is closed on Tuesday. Overnight in Manuel Antonio.

DAY 10: FREE DAY
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy the day at leisure for optional activities or relaxation at the beach. Overnight in Manuel Antonio.
DAY 11: MANUEL ANTONIO – OSA
Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to Sierpe, followed by boat transfer to your lodge. Overnight in Osa
DAY 12 – 13: OSA
Full board. Enjoy included excursions:
- Corcovado National Park (San Pedrillo Station): guided tour and entrance
- Caño Island: boat, guide, entrance fee, and snorkeling equipment

DAY 14 OSA – SAN JOSE
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airstrip for your domestic flight to San José. Transfer to hotel. Overnight in San José..
DAY 15: SAN JOSÉ – AEROPUERTO INTERNACIONAL JUAN SANTAMARÍA
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Juan Santamaría International Airport according to your flight schedule.
